Tan Chong Motor to Rent Out Assembly Lines to Perodua for QV-E EV Project
Tan Chong Motor Holdings (TCMH) has announced a significant partnership with Perodua, Malaysia's national carmaker, to support the development of its upcoming electric vehicle (EV) project. The company has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Perodua, indicating a potential collaboration that could revolutionize Malaysia's automotive industry.
According to a Bursa Malaysia filing, TCMH's 70% subsidiary, Tan Chong Motor Assemblies (TCMA), will provide essential services for Perodua's QV-E EV project. Under the LOI, which took effect on November 13, TCMA will be responsible for electro deposition (ED) coating and painting line services, as well as renting designated assembly lines to Perodua's wholly-owned subsidiary, Perodua Sales.
